For those of you with kids or who work with kids, you know that there is a certain funk that comes long before they are officially teens. I’m looking at you 5th grade teachers, middle school librarians and I am definitely focused on theater teachers in all grades. Sometimes we just need a little extra scent support in “Defending Against The Smell Of Teen Spirit”.
I could apply scents to these but let’s be honest. Scent is a very personal thing. Some of you will only want organic and naturally processed essential oils that are farmed in the mountains of Norway, while others may want that super expensive perfume that I think stinks. And really, some of the scent names are ridiculous. What do “Fresh Cotton” or “Pink Cotton Candy” or “Heady Forest” really smell like? So, these come to you unscented and ready for you to apply your favorite essential oil, perfume, or other favorite scent. Pro tip #1, if you live in a ridiculously hot place like we do, Auto shops sell scent sprays that hold up better in wickedly hot car interiors. Pro tip #2, Poo Pourri is made with essential oils and can also be applied to the felt. If this is for somewhere else, like your drawers, your gym bag, the closet, a PE locker, your teens shoe rack or just their whole darn room, then liberally spray or dab that favorite scent or oil on all 4 corners and all 4 sides with your favorite scent. But really you can sprinkle that stuff like fairy dust all over the air freshener if that’s what makes you happiest.
